FBS10 Fluorescence Biological Microscope System

Kramer Scientific, the worldwide leader in fluorescence microscopy, breaks new ground with the FBS10 Fluorescence Biological Microscope System. Combining the benefits of a compound microscope with the ability to prepare samples for a stereo microscope, this incredible new system allows the user to prepare and view samples in mediums and preparations that were previously not viewable on a compound fluorescence scope. Not only is this microscope completely customizable to your lab's needs, but it is available to you for an unexpectedly affordable price. Bring your research to new heights with the amazing features of our FBS10 microscopes.

FBS10 Fluorescence Microscope System

The FBS10 Fluorescence family of microscopes is the culmination of compound and stereo technologies, emphasizing the optimal features in both, while curtailing the compromises. Designed with C. elegans and Zebrafish researchers in mind, this workhorse system can replace the need for multiple microscope systems in almost any lab. When you use the FBS10, you can maximize research efficiency and minimize time spent moving, mounting, and resetting your subject for each new setup needed. One of our FBS10 models has a DIC feature which interfaces flawlessly with both glass and plastic dishes for more research capabilities.

Our FBS10 Microscopes Are Ideal for Laboratory Research

At Kramer Scientific, we know laboratory research is at the heart of everything your organization does. That's why we offer a wide range of microscopes for sale to customers worldwide. Among our most popular lines is the FBS10 family of microscopes, which includes the LX, the DIC, and the IND. The FBS10 Standard is our introductory model and features a plate base with a black and white plastic plug. This model is for fluorescence microscopy only.

FBS10 LX

Our FBS10 LX model boasts a sleek Kramer proprietary LED-transmitted light base design. It allows for 31 different levels of bright light throughput controllable by the user with a quick on/off bulb that gives off very little heat. An optional foot switch accessory for hands-free shutter control and the included hand rests on the base help ease exertion during long days in the lab.

FBS10 DIC

The unique design of our DIC system allows it to work through plastic or glass containers without haloing. The DIC base and prism components work with long working distance optics and a high NA condenser, assuring high contrast and resolution of your subject. This base features hand rests and a glide stage for minute sample manipulation.

FBS10 IND

Similar to our DIC model, the FBS IND or Industrial version is designed for minimal specimen prep or alteration. This affordable model combines the enhanced contrast and resolution of a compound and DIC microscopy system brought into the stereo world.

FBS10 Fluorescence Microscope System

Kramer Scientific offers a wide variety of microscope systems for universities and research laboratories worldwide. One of our most comprehensive lines is the FBS10 Fluorescence Microscope System. This system provides benefits and options that make it adaptable to any research facility and project. All FBS10 models feature the benefits listed below but differ in their base component.

Viewing

Our FBS10 boasts high NA objectives combined with optimized light throughput design and negligible glass interference. It works to maximize samples fluorescence illumination to reveal never before seen tags in a Petri dish environment. These microscopes provide optimal imaging for both viewing and photo documentation.

Sorting, Picking, and Tagging

When you use our FBS10 microscopes, long working-distance objectives combined with pseudo stereo technology merge for ease of sample picking, sorting, tagging, and manipulation. Our FBS10 DIC microscope has specific features that allow for cross-section comparable viewing of your organism in a plastic or glass Petri dish setting.

Optional Discreet Zoom

Unlike inferior microscopes, our FBS10 microscopes have an optional discreet zoom feature that allows for a quick flip from .5x to 2x zoom magnification. This is very similar to a linear zoom, without the associated standard light-loss. When not needed, this zoom system can be disengaged with the zoom optics removed from the light to better augment the light throughput.

Convenience

Our patented fluorescence illuminator system gives high color fluorescence in an ergonomic setting. Holding up to eight fluorescence cubes, this system features self-locating cubes that are changed with just a swipe of your finger. We have numerous filter cubes available. The FBS10 Standard system takes up little space in the lab with its reflected light-only base and user-friendly transmitted light base with a sleek LED design.

FBS10 Standard Fluorescence Microscope for Transgenic Organism Research

Kramer Scientific is proud to offer the FBS10 Standard Fluorescence Microscope to customers worldwide. This microscope was designed for the transgenic organism research lab looking for a fluorescence only system that could do both compound and 3D-like images of their subjects. The system is a hybrid of compound and pseudo stereo technology and includes the following great FBS10 features.

High Numerical Aperture Optics On All Magnifications

This feature provides high light throughput, high resolution, and bright colors on all levels of viewing. This system boasts better light throughput than a standard stereo system.

No Slide Mounting Necessary

With high light throughput and long working-distance optics, this system easily accepts Petri dish/agar containers. It allows for moving and switching of dishes and containers without having to change your microscope settings for ease of sample manipulation and movement.

Pseudo Stereo Technology

This hybrid system features pseudo stereo technology, which simulates depth perception for easy viewing, sorting, tagging, and picking action.

Optional Discreet Zoom

Optional discreet zoom allows for fast zoom-in and zoom-out of your subject. The zoom operates without light-loss associated with standard zoom tubes (0.5x --> 1x --> 2x).

Octo Fluorescence Illuminator

The Octo Fluorescence Illuminator can hold up to eight filter cubes. It features an ergonomic, quick-change design for ease of filter cube use.

Plate Base With Plug

The base of this unit is a plate with a white and black plastic plug and contains no transmitted light. This affordable system is designed for fluorescence microscopy only.

FBS10 LX Fluorescence Microscope for Transmitted Light Microscopy

Kramer Scientific offers the FBS10 LX Fluorescence Microscope for use in fluorescence microscopy involving transmitted light. This microscope is available to our worldwide customer base and was designed with the C. elegans and Zebrafish lab work in mind. Its hybrid system can do both compound and 3D-like images of your subjects, as well as transmitted light. The system is a hybrid of compound and pseudo stereo technology.
